Logical fallacies are basically an error in judgment. “When someone adopts a position, or tries to persuade someone else to adopt a position, based on a bad piece of reasoning, they commit a fallacy” (Logical Fallacies.info, 2013, para 1). Some logical fallacies are more common than others and are often referred to as well-known errors of reasoning. Some examples of logical fallacies are used in scare tactics, arguments, sentimentality, and either/or choices (LogicalFallacies.info, 2013).
